We pass by
the same walls
tilting objects
in our rush to feed time
and the wind parts
somewhere between the end of me
and the beginning of you.
Hushed emotions
still drawn within cement
and the plaster that holds us together
but seemingly
designed to crack
as we ~
discreetly disapproves.
And the two of us
turn with the years
rotating the same handles
that lead inside then out ~
feeling the touch
we've forgotten how to give
each other...
