as poets, we all [enter contests]
striving for a challenge
          excellence 

      recognition
    but
      my efforts go unnoticed

not even a 'thanks for entering'
not even a 'that was good'
not even a 'Smile'

do I mean anything to you at all?
does my heart and soul bleed
like yours?

        I am

If someone took the time to enter a contest, even a generic comment from the holder is better then none at all... we work so hard to show a piece of us to other's and it's just an insult not to read their entry, or at least comment at all.

    And to this and to you I stand and applaud!!!! I have hosted many contests and I make sure that I comment on each and every entry and never do I leave just some generic ramblings!!! I feel that if you took the time to entertain me than I can take the time to say "THANK YOU" after all my mother taught me manners!!!! Wonderful job here!!!

    Not even mentioned in the credits, the columns of the extras edited out, as the final results scroll past your disillusioned eyes,

    A sin-a-matic habit with many judges. You emote, your words dancing fervently in inspirational productions, and then someone gets too busy to even watch your audition or gets snippy in the cutting room of comments department. I like this poem, it frames some of the pain of the poetic world in a reel way. Thanks for your entry.~~Artis
