the man i'm destined to be with
visits me in my dreams
i hear the melody of his laughter
and it tickles me inside
i smell the aura of his presence
and it fills me with warmth
i see his face smile at me
and it makes my heart leap
i taste the sweetness of his kiss
and it kills all my fears
i feel his love from the comfort of his arms
and it makes my soul weep
tears of joy
i have given my everything
to this spector from my dreams
when the rest of the world hurts
and i have no where else to turn
i know, i trust
that he will always be there
when i open my eyes
the man i'm destined to be with
is no longer that spector
from my dreams
but the warm body next to mine
as i fall asleep and dream
of reality
