~ New England Rebirth~

Birds sing harmony in morning hour.
New England awakens with spring blaze
giving up snowy white winter land daze.
Flowers bloom like soft heightened silk tower,
scented inside magical power.
Bringing happiness back with out craze
giving us new life through days of haze.
Springtime holds such a beautiful power.
Etching out cold restless winter lead
bringing forth a touch of playfulness.
Beaming rays of sunshine on our head
leaving behind gloom of hopelessness.
Flowers bring rebirth instead of dread
surrounding us all with great fullness.

  • A good effort combined with an abundance of imagery. This leaves me wanting to go for a walk and enjoy the springtime.

  • "Birds singing harmony in Am hour." A lovely opening but I think it would have been stronger with "morning" instead of Am.

A lovely sonnet. You have used the nature prompt well and orchestrated your alliteration well for a smooth and beautiful read.

Well done in this round. ~Pamela

  • They nice poem, the style was different... but it flows well...
And I love some of the imagery...
