Reflecting about
Where it all begins
A little trickle,
Flowing so thin
Pure in its color and all within
A clear reflection of a looking glass
Growing, expanding, picking up speed
Continuing forward, taking no heed
Gathering riders along the way
Broadening side as it touches its banks
Its getting harder along the way
Rock with boulders preventing clear paths
No longer clear, sprays far asky
Racing along its own fast clip
Hitting the shoulders from side to side
Holding on desperately for its own life
Trying to make it all one its own
Out of control and quite far from home
Waterfall – sets us on our way
Waterfall – grows us each new day
Waterfall – builds our wings to fly
Waterfall
From water so thin to the little rills
Collecting and carrying such life within
On goes the river and over the stone
To calmest pond and sweet respose

Powerful
Really captivating poetry, I like the way you build up the force of the water to a dramatic climax, and the "Waterfall -" verse really embodies a strong rhythm. Vibrant images throughout, felt myself carried over the rocks into that peaceful pool.
Thanks for entering!
