Frangipanis In My Hair

We are not defined by what we wear
And there are those who have a certain flair
But,  I become so bold, I can do anything I dare
When I wear white frangipanis in my hair

I feel so beautiful, a feeling so rare
And there is someone worth loving in the mirror there
Will you see someone pretty and fair?
If I wear white frangipanis in my hair

I wish I had long and blonde flowing hair
I whisper to God in a quiet little prayer
Buy I’m happy with myself and I breathe a different air
When I wear white frangipanis in my hair

My heart with you I’d be willing to share
And my dreams with you I’d like to lay bare
With the innocence of a child at an autumn fair
And I’ll wear white frangipanis in my hair

A frangipani is a beautiful flower, very similar looking to the border on this page. Its pronounced sort of Frang-a-pani.

Honestly, I've never heard of a frangipani, but it must be something to cause this kind of transformation. I like the innocence, frolicking quality this poem has. It's a fun celebration of life.
