Queen of the Damned

When one minute lasts forever
And eternity's our bound,
I'll join you, we'll be together,
In both silence and in sound.

The velvet coffin is our home
And the dark night is our cover-
The day we fear, in sin we burn,
We, darling, will feed off one another.

Vampire, dear, I am your Queen,
Both yours and Queen of all the Damned;
So you, my king, shall always be
The only ruler of my lonely heart.

So you, my blood, do stay with me
Forever, because there's no end to bother;
'Cause I'll be yours, and, as you see,
We'll quench our thirst with one another...

Vampire poetry? Not so new to me, I guess. But my muse sort of left me behind - any opinions?

    Can't really make any ...

    suggestions, since I'm not really into vampires much. I did like Anne Rice's books on the subject, but the ones that were made into movies didn't really do much for me.

    I love this write it convays a story of vampires and love I love vampires not so hot with romance, but i think vampires and romance work well in a peace together (make any sense if not oh well thats me)

    I've always been intrigued by the ideas of the vampire realm. the lonely feeling of guilted sin and relentless darkness is a beautiful disaster of staying alive. the feeding of blood and silence is a welcoming stance brought upon that between the king and such a queen. i thoroughly enjoyed this. thank you for the submission

    When I started reading this, my first instinct was to check your age on the sidebar, and was I ever surprised! The maturity with which you have written this is beyond amazing... It blew my mind, really.

    Personally, I'm not overly-big on rhyme, but this was done well and did not sound cheesy or forced, even for a second.

    I love vampires... They're such beautiful, graceful creatures, and I don't think I could ever do them the poetic justice that you have. Thank you for your entry, and good luck.
