When ever conflict comes to call, you hide within your shell
For you are gentle, and what's more you're loving and so kind
You care for all life's creatures and you have a clever mind.
Your home is so important and you blossom when your there
It is decreed, a castle and a place that we both share
We close the door behind us, live together, share this space
For here we have true union and there is no better place.
So as we sit together it is up to you and me
To carry on as always in this perfect harmony
I give to you your food and drink, to satisfy your tum
Then I'll wait here in second place and stand behind your mum.

lol wow I had to read this 4 times befor it sank in....what a great write! I totaly get it now tho and it makes perfect sence. I wonder if you pondered this for a wile to come up with such a wonderful connection or if it was a fly by the seat of your pants!! when i first clicked on to this poem, i didnt have a clue what it was going to be about and i like that. because most titles of poems give away the poem and this one doesnt. I especially like the last verse, because it is very true to life, and i relate to it very much because i still live with my mum and dad, and my mum always sticks up for me. Funny how mothers protect their children other their husband even when they have told him to tell them off. Well i best stop chattin or i will be here all day! thanks for a great read!
