There's no need to get a loan
don't take that mortgage on your home
All good things in life are free
just open your eye's and you will see
The rains come down refreshing
all creatures recieve this blessing
A smile on your loved one's face
no riches could take it's place
The stars high in the sky
hearing a newborns first cry
Good fathers with their sons
pitching and hitting balls for fun
Mom's with their little girls
playing dress-up...their hair in curls
Take a stroll around the park
watch fireflies in the dark
Wishing upon a star at night
the morning sun at first light
Giving a loved one a hug
finding your first ladybug
So there's no need to scream and shout
take stock of all your clout
All good things in life are free
just open your eye's and you will see

Sweet
A cute "awwww" moment type of poem. I did enjoy it, and I like the thought behind it. Thank You For entering.

You've got some of the simple things in life right here. You also have a couple of apostrophes that don't belong -- "eye's" in two places. Other than that, it's a well written piece.

This poem carries a very important message and is very well written. Great job!

A warning, describing how there is no necessity for greed. Original for sure.

I like how instead of portraying a greedy person your showing greedy people the real treasures in life and how its not all bout money. I love how you've dont this, what a great write! =]
Thank you for entering!
