You lower me down to a gentle embrace,
Fingers weaving themselves into my sea of blond,
Lovingly you brush glistening strands from my face,
With every swish it reeks of what was there,
But now you're gone,
So today I cut off all my hair,
Call me crazy, but the past seemed to be entwined,
Now as flashes of gold fall to the floor,
So does the life I left behind,
I no longer get men in cars leering,
With this short sleek cut,
No more old men jeering,
And I can't say I miss that,
And at the end of the day,
It's not the hair that makes the girl,
Short cut? I wouldn't have it any other way.

Wow!
This is brilliant! I love the flow and structure of this poem. This is so weirdly emotional...^_^ and is really true...

This is absolutely wonderful! I love the rhythm and rhyme, as well as the ideas and reasoning behind your short cut. Before my head was shaved, I too went from long to really short, and loved it, so this poem definitely hit me emotionally. I love the line "It's not the hair that makes the girl", so true! Wonderful!
