When dandelions catch fire,
they drip toward heaven
looking for new wishers
to start from the beginning.
Lydia watches Diane;
weeds rise and billow
through the ribbons
on her cheeks-
her eyelids droop from
midsummer butterfly kisses
and blink toward cadence
like watercolor seeping.
Stem of dandelion
resting between thumb
and forefinger,
Diane lights innocence
with soft breath.
It catches on the
symmetry of the moment,
flares into the quiet sky.

lost connection. summarizing for my own sake.
im not so sure about the introduction of these characters. really evocative imagery, but awkward transition. the ending wouldve made a great launching pad. stanzas 1-3 were weak in image and direction. -
is the symtry between Lydia and Diane?
are Lydia eyes the ones that flutter ti scattered vision
like the seeds on the wing?

I like that imagery. You can interpret how you like, but Diane is the one with the droopy eyes. And yes the symmetry is between the two
