while world still to wake
red rose entice
a half smile on its face
hiding sun,
sleeping in the east
lily drooped
in supplication
white delicacy
shy and withdrawn
dazzles bright
sun fascinated
rolled west
marveled by it
sunflower dressed yellow
turns face wherever it goes
jasmine, bougainvillea
others of various hues
reluctant to left behind
jumps in joy
bathing in soft light

Good Job
That was very nice and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it all the way through. My favorite stanza was, hmmm, maybe, the... second... They are all so good that I can't choose. I also wrote a poem recently about flowers.
I believe it is good to write about nature and its many wonders. My favorite type of flower would probably have to be the rose, and that is why my poem is called "Rows Of Roses." It is about a girl that is fascinated by flowers and goes to the flower shop to have a look...
Please take the time to stop and read my poem. It only has two comments so far and I would really appreciate some more.
Good Job!

I like the personification...
I like the way you look at the moods of the 'plants' of your garden. I like the free verse and the succinct word use. Well done...being so much I like, I must enjoy your poem.

Some very lovely imagery in this piece. A delightful garden to meander through, think on and grow within.
Well done. Best of luck in the judging. ~Pamela
