The soldiers know their duty,
but those who stay behind do not.
Son, you may not support the war,
but love those who go ahead of us.
They are but one of mankind, same as you.
They bleed, cry, and feel pain just the same.
You could say its just a job,
but to them, the meaning is far more.
What happened to the days of yore,
when we supported our troops,
with packages, letters, and cards?
Each item filled with love.
Boys on the roadside, eating chocolate,
almost like home, just never the same.

I don't understand why people don't support the troops just cuz they don't agree with the war. They are doing their duty, and I think that is something we should take pride in. They don't mean to harm the innocent, but the media keeps saying other wise. They only want to get their job done, but accidents happen of course. We are all human.
