Whispers and Echoes

Upon this world we flutter,
Whispers on the wind,
Touching gently down,
If only for a second.

Upon this world we flutter,
Echoes in the dark,
Bold against light,
Simmering the mist.

Upon this world we all flutter,
Yet our presences last forever,
Never fading or dimming at all,
Merely but whispers and echoes.

Author notes

Hi i hope you like this poem.
I'm sorry about your friend when my brother died it gave me comfort thinking of him still being on this planet in someway like a whisper or an echo still affecting our lives.
Hope you enjoy

    Thank you for this offering.
I can see why it would bring comfort to some.
Personally I feel Eddy has gone on and though I might meet him later he is no longer here. Hence he was just a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes as the quote says.
Same origin different perspective I suppose and isn't that what a lot of good poetry is about.
The competition closes in a couple of minutes so you'll know the result soon.
