1 - Paperbacks
At a bargain shop –
skins are endless
lined in shelves;
thickened with dust
the choice is yours
what skin to wear
but please, haggle for mine
for though, I’m dilapidated,
my bones are priceless.
2 - Closed Pores
Others die with skin unscathed
Thus, Earth rejected their skin attached
For their spirits rot within their selfless lot,
Unable to escape from a close-fist mind,
And the incarcerated smell is a stagnant well –
An incurable disease; a risk of malignant mutation.
So do not bury a person’s meat with its greedy covering
Peel of the sheath, the Earth has no use for it
Not even as a fertilizer…not even as dumpsite filler.
3 - Shedding
The woman
uncloaks
her heavy robe –
Revealing the
arrogance
of her beauty
and the
stubbornness
of her sexuality.
For under the glaring sun,
she is a confident statuette
with her sun-kissed skin.
Only a woman
knows how to
undressed.
