One final sunset,
Under our tree.
A lifetime of happiness,
Having you with me.
Life not worth living,
Since you have departed.
I could wait no longer,
Devoted to you I am whole hearted.
Meet me at the gates,
My one and only love.
Forever together,
In the heavens above.

All love stories end in tragedy. We leave naturally or by choice. My only critique is that the last line of the second stanza sort of throws off the flow, IMO
The rhyme is subtle and beautiful.

Thank you
Thank you for your comments on this write. Not all love stories end in tragedy, true most do but some bloom into wonderful friendships.

Thank you
I saw a man who lost his love and wanted to join her in heaven. I think a lot of what people see in a picture reflects their mood at the time. Sometimes you see the opposite of how you feel. Thanl you for the comment
