The Dawn Of Sorrow

Dawn Of Sorrow

The night falls down in sweeping blows,
Followed by the beating of hooves,
The dawn of sorrow that nobody knows,
Comes on as the way the wind moves.

The horsemen are coming down upon the earth,
The tides are rising and the heat is on,
We now cash the cheques for all our worth,
We have doomed the planet we reside upon.

Clouds of green floating above the sky,
Waters of acid that create a new form,
People dying asking themselves why?
We are creating a new state of norm.

The world cries out with tears of regret,
As the people die out becoming a mere silhouette

Author notes

Hey my prompt was number one. I decided to write a poem about the way the world is dying and the people will eventually die out to.
When it becomes unavoidable people will greet the morning with sorrow.
Hope you enjoy and it fits the contest.
xoxo
