Mysterious Journey

Tracing a track
through life's woven linen,
calling me back
for a new beginning.

Taking my place
at a fork in the road,
starting my race
on time only borrowed.

Left turn or right turn,
decisions unclear,
will I make my sojourn
to stations austere?

Embracing this future
wherever I rest,
memories gathered
complete your request.

Not really sure if this is appropriate for your contest. I'm not so good at writing within perimeters but wanted to give it a try.

I was reminded by the "Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost, except I felt from it more confusion or uncertainty which really gave a more personal aspect about it and more belonging to you rather that something I'm merely reminded of hehe. I really like the rhyme in this too and its pace. Again fabulous imagery. A job well done =)

Thanks for "chancing your arm". I was not too sure what I expected so I cannot be disappointed. Your poem is a view on life and its uncertainties if not its transience. It has value for that whether it falls "within the parameters" or not.
    Good effort
