When I was alone
you came to me
When I drowned
you lifted me up
When I felt like I
could never go on
You saw me cry,
you felt every tear
And to know
that you cried with me
And held me so
just somehow makes me see
Your love
your grace
your truth
your being...
...in my time of desolation.
Author notes
One of the points in this poem, is that it is in our times of desolation that we learn to see His "love, grace, truth, being". And also that Jesus cries with us when we cry. He sees every tear fall and feels it right along with us. Remember, He was human too.

a truly inspirational piece. you express yourself in your writing beautifully and the genuine sincerity of this piece really caught my attention. my only suggestion is in the third line i think it reads more smoothly if you leave out the 'was' before drowned. keep writing

You know about half of what happened to me in my life as of now...And you will never know how true this poem is to me. The fact that Jesus was with me saved my life. Without that I would be dead. He endured the pain as I did. He went through the tortures I went through, he felt everything i felt.. Wow. This was incredible. Once again, short, but encapsulating soooo much... wow.. wow.. wow.
