Reach out.
Touch the dreams that you forgot
the moment she walked into your life.
Look down.
Away from all the friends that you left
hanging by the restroom door.
Run Away.
From everything we were-
everything you've ever been.
Reach out-
and gather the blade,
so that you can sever the ties that bind us
((Forever))
Touch the dreams that you forgot
the moment she walked into your life.
Look down.
Away from all the friends that you left
hanging by the restroom door.
Run Away.
From everything we were-
everything you've ever been.
Reach out-
and gather the blade,
so that you can sever the ties that bind us
((Forever))

Hi there :)
Not sure if every line is an oxymoron, or if you meant it to be that way...
....as one line begins a thought, yet, your next line goes in a complete different direction...except the last ~
Other than that, not a bad entry.....the best of luck with your entry and God bless you this evening,
Bear ~

The oxymoronishness was intended. Like I've said before, I'm not pleased with the last line myself.
Thank you.

not sure
You did well in writing, just not sure I understand the part that says, and gather the blade so that you can sever the ties that bind us. childlike faith

That's the part I don't like myself... Basically it's telling him to get on with it already, that if he's going to completely desert them, just do it. Just couldn't figure out how to word it really.
