Where Am I?

This shore isn’t like the others,
On side is for good, the other for evil
My boat is hesitant for which direction is must go, for I do not control the boat with my arms, but with my heart.
So many have called me evil that I do not know myself
The side of good is always in the sunshine
Leaves fall and seasons change, but it is not for cold weather, it is for happiness
As happiness develops and changes, so must the land, for the land represents the people there.
The side of evil, it is always in the dark
No sun would dare travel there
Glowers and cold dead eyes live there and the seasons never change.
The trees are always bare and the ground cannot grow grass

The boat begins to sway towards the dark side
Is that where I belong? In a land of hate and despair?
I certainly do not belong on the side of beauty, for I am no comparison to nay creature living there

As time goes by my heart remains irresolute
I will never choose, because I am not perfect, I am not happy and I am not beautiful
But nor am I sad, nor am I lonely, nor am I ugly
People like me have no side to choose from
That’s why so many people fear to make this journey
So here I will remain, forever alone

WOW!! The profound nature of this poem demands and controls the attention of the reader. The eloquent way in which write is beautiful. Putting the path of life in a pictoral way is a great idea that I also keep think about often. The journey of life is never easy, although that doesn't mean you have to go alone. Thank you for entering my contest.

The poeple who stand the strongest, stand alone.
