Lost To Most

Photobucket

So much is lost to so
  many of us,
With closed eyes we ride
  the speeding bus.
Our lives focused on material
  things,
Not seeing the beauty that
  the world brings.
Lucky I was long, long
  ago,
Being able to enjoy life
  moving slow.
Shown how to see with
  open heart,
Lifes special most beautiful
  part.
Years later the demands of life
  forces stress on me,
Keeping from my heart the beauty
  I want to see.
Not lost though just pushed
  away,
I wait patiently for them to
  come my way.

Author notes

I enjoyed reading this. More people need to take time to appreciate the beauty around them, myself included at times.

      HELLO KDOM

Thank you ever so much for coming by and reading this! I was truly fortunate to have parents who encouraged me to play out in the woods, fields and streams and to notice all that nature so lovingly offers us.

      HELLO STORIESUNTOLD

Thank you ever so much! 's Almost everything that write is inspired from those days from so long ago. Such happy times playing in the woods, at my little stream and of course lying in the yard at night and watching the sky with its millions of stars and listening to the crickets, frogs and enjoying the fireflys. Special times and ones which stay with me forever.

    I like it

I love the expression for the need to be patient, whether in matters of people of just the pleasant things in life-not to get caught up in the rush and let yourself, too, become pushy and mean-spirited.

FOR THE KINDNESS CONTEST-DON'T FORGET TO INCLUDE IN YOUR NOTES "THANK YOU, MAA" to be considered for finals

      HELLO DESIRE

I am always it seems thinking alone these lines of thought as I see so many around me just partying away their life with booze, drugs and what not. I have always found so much relaxation in scenery around me and animals around me. I am usually laughed at as I go about with my camera and book. I just love to sit out in nature and read a good book. Thanks ever so much for stopping by and reading this one. 's

    Really true ,

sometimes or should i saw most of the time i feel this way , maybe we should have a slow down movement . people are running behind money and gadgets , no body has the to look at the moon , they don't even know whether it exists , i honestly feel we have lost our lifes , given it all away for something as low as paper money . I was 5 yrs when i climbed those trees , the place is now an apartment . The place where i played foot ball , its now a shopping mall ,

answer me , is this life my friend , can't we go back and redeem the peace , i know only u can answer this , please do , my friend ,

      HELLO HUMBLE

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this wonderful comment! 's One does find themselves lost among the humanity in the world. It sure does seem to be fast and uncaring, we must stop and remember the times when life seemed so much simpler. You are still young yet and still you feel this way also. I long, long ago was as an only child forced to use my imagination as my playmate. I was so fortunate to live in a low populated area and we had over 60 acres of woods for me to play in and I did almost everyday during my summer vacation from school. I would get up early and my mom would pack me a lunch in a paper bag and after I ate breakfast I would be out the door and off to the woods in back of our house. I would play in among the trees all day and often would not come home until almost dark. As I would reach our yard it would be getting dark and I would stop and watch the sunset and then the stars and listen to the crickets chirping in the yard and across the road from our house was a stream and I would listen to the frogs, and peepers and watch the fireflys glow. That my friend was my young days long ago. I miss those days as now it is so stressful day to day. People do want to find this again but they just don't seem willing to give up anything to have this again. Nothing can be found if we first don't give up something for it. It may come down to what we want more, quiet and peace or the material things we have now. We need to listen to our elders as they have so many answers to the questions we ask today. Just give it time my friend, you will find what you are looking for with patience and faith and an open heart.

          HELLO ALEX

You are always sincerely welcome! 's Some call me strange and different, maybe I am as I had to be by myself when young and rely on animals and scenery to be my friends and inspirations. Most of my poetry says that.

You have spoken the truth! Aww the eyes of the innocent that take in everything around them! Life does get too hectic and we forget to slow down and look around us at what nature has for us. This is a beautiful reminder. Thanks again for sharing your wonderful insight with us.
