A quiet place at last I’ve found
They’ve placed me 6ft under ground.
Left behind a life of nagging;
no longer hear the wife’s tongue wagging.
Silly fool, he soon will find
that he will get no peace of mind.
I’ll nag him still, for ever more
They dug my grave at 5ft 4.

Great write, congrats on the gold trophy. I've heard (and this might be what you were referring too in the poem) that the reason they used to bury people 6 feet under was exactly for this, because they would bury their spouse on top of them.

This one is definitely hilarious...good write. Congratulations on gold for this one too...you are definitely a talent.

My grandparents were like this - grandad had twenty years of silence before she joined him. You present a wry look on life and death; it's good to smile about what we can't change.

Lol, brilliant, poor guy! Heheheh
Strangely I expect he'd find he'd miss her nagging if she wasn't buried there.
Peace Georgia

This is great and very refreshing. It reminds me of my mother and father in a way. I love it! Good luck in the contest. Shancy.
