Silence breathes.
Slow and steady and
Simple?
And there are lights that kiss the warmth of her skin, pastel swirls of melting colour that
–breathe-
with the rise and fall of her baited thoughts.
And…
(forever implodes into NOW in the seconds of whispered oaths)
And there is a certain uncertainty in the way she shifts against the polished chains of her inhibitions.
And…
(eternity breaks into the moment of sweet serenity that is her emancipation)
And there is a lull in the lullaby that is her unuttered devotion, as her heartbeat becomes a bittersweet tattoo in the dark; a symphony of reminiscence and romance and promise and persistence.
And…
(and NOW is never enough)
And her time is sand in the hurricane of life
And now is never enough.
And forever is too much.
And…
And sound speaks.
Hurried and harsh and
Heartening.
Author notes
I don't really know...
It's different. And not all that great. And not about what you may suspect.
LRR here btw, but I figure you already guessed that...

This isn't my analysis (obviously
) just... wow. I reread it, and so many ideas sprang to mind what it could be about. The way you ended it was VERY effective though.
Have I mentioned that I love the word "emancipation"? Mariah Carey runied it a bit at one stage, but I do love that word
You never cease to amaze. I've said it before, and I'll say it again.
Great writing.
