I saw you today
among the masses in the streets
you did not turn nor did you glance
your job you did not stray
I wanted to speak
the words to catch your eye
to speak to you with my hearts beat
but my voice did not rise to peak
So much that I wish
just to have you look my way
for our eyes to swim to our heart
tame my heart is all I wish
I walk a slow pace
I failed my feelings within me
my attempt was full of empty space
I walk by with no face
We met today
my hand you grabbed in passing
my heart sank as I paused gasping
I look up to hear you say
I saw you today.

speak volumes.words misplaced at times try to build a form.
When speaking from the heart you must roll the words in your mind and see how they fit into a poem.
Try small line poems first and end with some true feelings and off you go and the world moves with you.
