verse one: i saw you sitting there
so beautiful compared to the couple sitting
next to you
i soon realized you were far from the
perfection i thought i knew
i ran so fast
so hard
so long
that i fell and it's where i stayed
you helped me up with a grin
like 'can you believe this fucking place?'
but you weren't part of me
you weren't part of me...
verse two: it rained so hard
i could count the rain drops as they
split my face in two
you were content, like you
knew you hid me from the truth
i laughed at first
at the beginning
at the climax
because it was the only thing to do
you told me to cry in the end
cuz you wanted my tears to be for you
but you weren't part of me
you weren't part of me...
CHORUS: but if i tried
to tell you how i felt inside
you'd turn away
you prefer good-byes
you said 'in all honesty
you mean nothing
to me'
verse three: there was a time once
when i belived that time was
there to help us see
that love was a crime
that beauty would kill me
you gave up your ghost
cuz you said life wasn't worth it
you lived for the sake of
breathing
you lived for the sake of
hating
but you weren't part of me
you weren't part of me...
CHORUS: but if i tried
to tell you how i felt inside
you'd turn away
you prefer good-byes
you said 'in all honesty
you mean nothing
to me'
outro: you prefer good-byes
and i mean nothing to you
yeah, i'm nothing to you
i'm nothing to you
i'm nothing
nothing...
Author notes
a little sad, yes. and i'm not sure what its really about. i think it's for anybody who needs it, who feels sad and hopeless.
it sounds pretty in my head, but written out, it just looks depressing...

i really like it. its sad but sometimes you just need to listen to something sad. in a way it almost makes you feel better...like you're not alone.

Depressing, yes, but still really good.
