I thought about you
as I drove a dozen hours


letting my mind wander
as I followed meaningless lines
alone in the dark

Remembering
how you smile at my silliness


seeing again, the brightness in your eyes
like the sky reflecting back at me
how very lovely

 

Thinking of our conversation
the soft dialog of lovers

sharing and blending together


holding your tiny hand
like something sacred

Warm moments
more than I could share here
more than I could explain


Simply you and I... together
passion and softness, perfectly blended

    Hi Rick,

    It's good to see you writing, even if it's something borderlining heartbreak. I can understand so many of these feelings, having spent far too many times over a 3 or 4 year period going "the wrong way". I'm glad, for you and Lisa, it's only a temporary thing. You have much to look forward to, and I know that thought will keep you going until a better time arrives.

    I'm surprised to see so few comments on this...it's really beautiful. You paint the perfect dark beginning, but the middle and end are full of the hope we all want and need in finding love.

    ahhhhhhhh.....the beauty of love blooming

    didn't we just all fall in love with them too...
    those "love daydreams" and when you wake,
    OH...my gawed...where am I?
    giggle-giggle.
    For some reason I always look around to see if anyone
    noticed? giggle...do you think the daydream police
    caught me? lol

      allthough quietly in the begining,
      never knowing where a new friend may lead me
      or whom they may become

    This is sweet! Every woman in the world would love to know that someone miss's them like this!!
    Is this about a real person? If it is she is very lucky.
    The part: "I thought about you last night as I drove the wrong way,back to my home" you mention "the soft dialog of lovers" So are you talking about someone you're having an affair with?

    Loved it-the man with all the right words to say! lol
