Where the ferns grow and lilies bloom
Is where I hide myself.
The tranquil trickle of a soft little brook
Lulls my fears and energy.
There, where the sunlight dapples the ground
And the moss grows thick on a fallen log
And where the birds call in their own personal paradise
Is where I wished I could always belong.
In the valley of the lilies and ferns
And among the sweetness of dusk
Where the creatures of the valley roam
Is where I hide myself.
But just there,
Over the hill
Is where my paradise could end
And where reality begins.
I don't ever want to leave this place,
But how can I stay
When I fear what is beyond it?
The green ethereal grass
Could hide me if I stay...
Where the ferns grow and the lilies bloom
And the tranquil trickle of a soft little brook lulls me
The dappled sunlight in the green spring trees
And the sweetness of dusk and lilies...
Keep me
