Reaching out I felt for your cheek
Wanting to take you into my arms and never let go
But only to give you a quick half smile
And maybe a hug or two...

Towards the bounded street
With a subtle glance back

Only an understanding of what may be to come
A sigh of distress
Flooding in with gloom
Stepping down into the white box
Setting a wicked cruise
A drive home to hard to bear
With a tear and half-hearted chuckle...
