I've been in the darkest, dankest cove--laughed
because you held my hand.
I stared down the monsters,
the leviathans,
the kelpies,
even the dragon of Dagon Bay.
Your smile--stronger than the well-made blades of Knollock.
The light in your eyes--fiercer than a crashing meteor.
For but a touch, I would stare down mountains.
For a laugh--brave the siryns of the Oddysey.
To get you to turn around I--hunt the most bloodthirsty lycanthropes.
Just to hear "I love you".
I would love you too this time.

I definately can relate to this... I fear dying alone and being alone for long periods of time myself, it really bothers me even thinking of it. I wrote a poem about it called something like 'Loss of Love at Death'.
