I can't work out what's inside me,
a beauty these words cannot see.
Ineptitude is blinding me.
This is my mediocrity.
Wish I could set my muses free,
be the poet I want to be,
like Milton, Plath, Shakespeare, Heaney,
escape my mediocrity
I'll keep trying, I might improve,
I guess I've got nothing to lose.
Try to awake new poetry,
devoid of mediocrity.

So I take it that you want to be a better writer. I love how you put Shakespeare into this one. I just love him. He's an excellent writer. I enjoyed this one. Thanks for entering and good luck.
