The Approach

Exscuse me, I'm sorry to approach you in such a manner
and I know you prolly won't go for me.
Forgive me for being a gentleman and if I
seem to speak in poetry.
But I've noticed you not too long ago
and was hoping you'd notice me
I mean I know I'm not the coolest
I don't have a car, I'm just a regular joe see?
And I know that no matter how much of a fool I may make myself out to be,
I know my chances with you are not guaranteed.
You may have a man in your life
and I don't intend to come between
but if you happen to be single
is there room in your heart for me?
I know this has all come out of nowhere
but I didn't know how else to approach you
I hope you can appreciate the thought
and this poem I wrote you
Leonanda, wow, a beautiful name
though not as immaculate as it's owner.
I hope that you don't think this is all just a bunch of lines
I mean hey, it all just happens to rhyme.
But I appreciate you allowing me your time
and I won't bother to ask would you be mine
Because whether you're single or not,
I'm interested in getting to know you really
To see if your personality is pleasantly 
stronger than your beauty.
I'm just askin that you take a chance wit me
And if I don't happen to be your type
atleast I know I broke the ice
and I'll cherish our friendship
But hopefully, I'll be the guy you start to like.
