Legs

Legs

Legs can be lovely, legs can be long,
They can be so legendary,
They go down in song.

Legs can be valuable, with a need to ensure,
They can engender thoughts
Which aren’t very pure.

Legs can be luscious, legs can be fat,
They might wobble like jelly,
When you give them a pat.

Legs can be comely and pleasantly plump,
Make you look glamorous,
Certainly, no frump.

Legs can be scrawny, legs can be thin,
They might be so skeletal,
They’re all knee and shin.

Legs can have muscle, all beautifully toned,
So shinny and perfect,
They ask to be cloned.

Legs are should be treasure; a work of art,
Don’t take them for granted,
Or despise any part.
Legs are our lifelong friends
And need a lot of care,
Because in the long run,
They’re a most precious pair.

I love this. The poem reminded me of a contest i was in and we had to write about legs. I don't think I have glamourous legs.

    Hoodwinked!

I love word play and word fun. If you got a sense of humor, use it. "Because in the long run, they're a most precious pair". Tickled the bottoms of my feet. Thanks, I'm glad to see someone else having fun.

    HOODWINKED!

Good topical view of LEGS, who knew there was so much one poem could say about the subject. Enjoyed the humor running through this piece.

You have been Hoodwinked by the Poetic Bandits today because WE CARE!

    Hood-Winked!

This reminds me of the Monty Python songs "I've got two legs" which makes me laugh. I like the rhyming here and your cute similies that you used. A wonderful, humorous poem! Thanks for the laugh

I enjoyed this. Very interesting and fun. Good conclusion too. Nice to read some more rhymes.

This one line didn't quite seem to flow as well as the rest though,
    "Certainly, no frump."

And I think you may have an extra word here:
"Legs are should be treasure; a work of art,"

Sorry you didn't place in the contest.
