I can hear her saddened song
The whirring wind through the trees
Her rasping voice
As she speaks in the shifting breeze
I can feel her agony
As she shakes the ground in pain
Her burning tears
With in the acid rain
The smoke choking her every breath
With a burden of destructive beings
Her suffering never ends
As we fill her death without seeing
Hundreds of years she may last
Beyond the damage we have begun
But as long as we continue
Her will to live is done

Great imagery in these phrases...
"I can hear her saddened song
The whirring wind through the trees
Her rasping voice (good)
As she speaks in the shifting breeze
I can feel her agony
As she shakes the ground in pain
Her burning tears (more good)
With in the acid rain"
Last phrase is a little scary if we think about it...
"But as long as we continue
Her will to live is done..."
do we quit or will she???
Great write...
