After meeting you

I suddenly had an urge

to go into a stationery store,
buy a box of thank you cards
and send one to every past love

who let me move onward.

    before the store moved...

a box worth and a whole lot of envelope lickin'... stamps are clever but those stationary stores are sure enticing when they're not moving around, aren't they...i liked it. fluent thought...

wow. gorgeous, how it winds itself indirectly to such a punchline, so much said in the unspoken. clever, sharp, sweet. absolutely perfect.

awww...this is a cute poem...although it was only in a few words, it expresses a lot of emotion...jeje

    i really like it...♥♥♥♥

  • Oh, Tara, this is marvelous. Totally captivating and so very perfectly expressed. I am so glad this was featured, otherwise I may have missed it.

There is such hope in these beautiful lines. Hope that every shed tear is for a purpose, bottled up, and reserved to be poured as wine for that ONE to drink--that he may know us in fullness. Each person who touches us, for good or for bad, touches us and makes us become more ourselves. So wonderful, in hindsight, to not be tangled up when something better comes a long.

    Excellent poetry, gal!

Wow that is very meaningful and strikingly beautiful. I love this. It strikes right at home. It's so short, sweet and straight to the point. I can see why it's in the spotlight. It's gorgeous!!

Ahh and how we find so many ways to forget those of the past. So many thank you's to move foreward. A brief little story to a time less traveled.

    Thank you it was wonderful!

BANG BANG! I completely love this, and everything it is indicative of. That although love can be painful, when you get through the other side of that it makes you more appreciative. I am thankful to my past loves also - they have given me more than they know.

    Fabulous poetry

the first time i felt my baby move i thought, i wish i could send you a thank you card. thank you for being here. thank you for being mine. we do not use thank you cards in the correct manner at all. the things i am truly grateful for always go unsaid.

Yes, those who are the healthiest also promote the most healthy mind and with each a lesson is learned - not only about who you do/don't want in your life but also about who you truly are deep inside. I've learned some valuable things about myself through the enrichment of others.

once i wrote something like 'nothing is really that bad in life, even a kick in the ass push you forward'

When the bad becomes the best, you show that so well with your words. happy to see you getting a better chance:
