the dream i couldnt catch

i woke up from such a pleasant dream.
you and i finally together.
it was so real.
i swear my first concious breathe was laced with your scent.
i kept my eyes close holding on to the dream.
rolling over i know that i could feel the warmth from your body on my sheets.
when i finally opened my eyes to bring the dream to reality your presence was absent.
i longed to cry.
i closed my eyes.
trying to capture the dream.
tears fall.
my body awaiting for your embrace.
your kiss.
your love.
the dream gone.
your gone.
and i know i need your love to live the day.

    Very groovy

If you control your life you are able to dream anything,
If you can control your dreams, your life becomes how you shape it.

Interesting flow, I think it works well with the poem! It is a sad realization when you open your eyes to discover it was all a dream... sigh

wow this is an interesting poem. I love the short sharp lines and the repetition of gone, emphasising the word and feeling of emptyness.
well Koneko welcome to my family, you can either be a sister or a feline companion seeing as your name is kitten in japanese :

Dreams are such a fickle thing. The despair of realization after such a wonderful dream is a lot for one to bear. When we're together, dreams will be nothing compared to the waking world...
