Whimsy at Play

Missing image

Whimsy
reaches out
picks up the pen
creates a form of flora
with no known botanical name

Reason
takes a look
sees whimsy made
an awkward leaf or two
too late to intervene, whimsy done

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Author notes
Sometimes whimsy
starts to think
then free flowing line
goes on the blink.
Words come alive when answered in kind.
      Hi, Cyberartist!
      It's the free spirit within
      being released without constraint---
      and without reason popping in
      unwelcomed!
      Moony, moony! Good to see you!!!!!
      Right, "reason" saw the two center leaves
      as a bit stiff, but of course they need
      to be a bit stiff or firm to hold their
      shape on center stage!!!!
      Hugs to you, Queen of whimsy and romance!!
      Why, thank you, loper!
      Reason so often
      has the upper hand.
      Poets and writers well-served
      to rely on "whimsy," allowing it
      to speak through the subconscious!
    Whimsy wins, Yay! That is exactly what I root for...there's plenty of reality about, toss me a few flowers that grow simply in the imagination!
    Nice artwork btw, and it's a create way to express your whimsical moments.
      Hey, Yem!
      Liking the "Yay."
      For some freedom is expressed
      by riding a Harley withut a helmet,
      or with one, for those valuing
      life and head----but for me
      the more accessible is the pen
      in hand, fingers on the keys.
      Can't compete with the
      perfection of Nature's blooms;
      don't like to be contrained by rules,
      so I grow my own flowers on the page!
    this is so lovely, both are, poem and drawing.
    When inspiration strikes, the best thing to do is to let it takes its own course...results are mostly more than we expect.
    Am happy reason didn't stop the whimsy
      A few minutes ago,
      akin to the other
      line drawings on my pages,
      they just want to pop out!
