Famine came creeping
Upon the last of the acid rain
Famine came, children weeping
Fading away from hunger and pain.
Famine's eyes, dripping blood,
Closed in sorrow, and regret,
Tears mingled with dust, turned to mud
He only wanted to forget.
War came thundering
Upon the hard-ridden back of peace
War came, a kings blundering
A nation seeking release.
Wars eyes, hard and cold
But behind them, a breaking heart,
Outwardly, a leader, bold
Inside his soul is torn apart.
Pestilence came flying
Upon a wind stinking of rot
Pestilence came, the land dying,
Beneath a sun that forgot.
Pestilence turned away
And fell, shuddering, to his knees
Horrified by all the decay,
Deaf to everything, but his own silent pleas.
Death came striding
Across a ravaged land
Death came, hope was hiding
But Life tried to make a stand.
Death laughed, his eyes shining with mirth
He felt nothing, until Life staggered to its feet
Attacking Death, Life cried,"I will retake the Earth."
Death retreated whispering, "For now I accept defeat."

one day death will be no more it will be thrown into the lake of fire which is eternal destruction. With it will go pain and suffering too. We have great things to look forward to if we can only endure.
