The scar.. .My War...
Receding, the safest inner place I know
mouth moving; only silence coming.
Tears hit tiles heavy while
heart-warming, ice-melting smile is
disconnected; lost.
You,
your scratchy voiced taunts,
echoing through my head
haunting my heart.
A wall so thick, strong.
‘they’ll never reach me’
truth of it all shall never be spoken.
Envenomed words scorch my soul
leaving,
lifetime lasting scars.
The flower child I was withers more
each day.
Till soon,
I’m gone…

This is such a great, dark write. I could feel the hoplessness as I was reading through this. I really loved the lines "Envenomed words scorch my soul leaving lifetime lasting scars". This is such a powerful line. Well done and best of luck for the contest.

lol, it is, means poisoned, venemous etc
Yeah im not normlly one for dark, unless im feeling depressed etc, But I liked the challenge
