Weeping Lily Bouquet

When she stands solemnly and cries
Her red wine tears
Upwards turn those pale blue eyes
Pray to God, take away your fears

Eventually she will lay
Upon what she took
Her reaper’s hook -
Her weeping lily bouquet

As the dark shadows
Encase her
Like black veins across her skin
So does death
Embrace you
It’s a fight you’ll never win

Don’t wish for a better day
Inevitable; it’s here she will stay
In your heart
Until you depart

As her weeping lilies rise
Finally you scream, but no one hears
And she stands solemnly and cries
Her red wine tears

Dark but intriguingly well done. I love the phrase "red wine tears". You have a write to be proud of with this. Pen on...~Poo~

Yikes! Very dark picture, yet beautifully dark poem. I really love the beautiful dark images you used to describe her. The "red wine tears" was awesome. It really was a great description... Unique too..
