As I looked around the room he was standing there
I tried to look away but all I did was stare
He asked me if I wanted to dance
On a magical moonbeam, with him by chance
Dance on a moonbeam
Dance on a rainbow
Dance the night away with me
My hand on his arm, his hand on my waist
His footing was keen, mine a disgrace
But I wanted it to never end
For that moonbeam dance was heaven
Dance on a moonbeam
Dance on a rainbow
Dance the night away with me
The music stopped, and his hand dropped
He pulled away, I started to sway
He walked out the door, and left me on the floor
And my magical moonbeam...faded away
Dance on a moonbeam
Dance on a rainbow
Dance the night away with me
Author notes
This poem is actually a song that my cousin and I made up. We had a singing group and this was one of the songs. Maybe I'll write the others down here...........don't know though. Enjoy

wow...romantic, but the ending seemed to drop off, not in a bad way, but in a longing. You never want to let them go. Good luck to you.
