The Apple

It sits on the table waiting
  I spot it
It's scarlet skin glimering in the pure light
  I bite into it
I feel the flowing elixir run down my chin
I hold it in my hand
It's scared flesh showing their energy of life
  I bite down again
The center is bare now, crispy to the touch
I twist off the last connection to life
One sparkle of light in the world disapears

This is a most interesting work, and brings a new light to the word life. An outlook not normally brought out in writing. I love the image brought on by your words, and the last line uses light in an amazing way. I liked it.
