Populace Blinded

By Christopher E. Rangel
4/19/08

A failing system
And we're trained to look past
Contorted, twisting
Controlled as a single mass
Populace Blinded
As a whole
We don't see
Because it's so hard to believe
Just how much We've been deceived
And God won't come on down to save you
Free yourself with what it gave you
Populace falling
From the sky above
Whatever happened to
Your one true Love?

You gave up your eyes
To let the others see for you
Gave up your voice
To let the others speak for you
Gave up your mind
To let the others think for you
take it back!
Take it back!

You are all alone
And you're falling oh so fast
So catch yourself
Because the others would let you fall
Have you fall
Have you fallen?

We come undone
Into this world
We come undone
We come as one
Into this world
We come as one
So you are all alone but not alone
As we fall from the sun

Wow, This poem is amazing, It reminds me of 'Away from the Sun' by 3 doors down.

    I especially loved the:

    'You gave up your eyes
To let the others see for you
    Gave up your voice
To let the others speak for you
    Gave up your mind
To let the others think for you
    take it back!
    Take it back!'

I imagine someone screaming the 'Take it back' I love it, I love all your poetry.

    Incredible..

I like it, it flows really well. I can also see it as a song, which is interesting. It's also easy to relate to, it's not just a personal piece. Nice.
