Dying To Love

Who is love?
What is love?
Where is love?
He seems so familiar
Yet so strange

Ever since I remember
We could never agree
Every time I came too close
He would slip from me

I知 sitting here,
With a pen in my hand
As the tears are trailing
Down my cheeks
Trying to figure
Out why Love
love to trick me so

Whenever he comes
Around, he値l set his trap
He knows I am in need
Of his presence
I値l build a place
In my heart for him to stay
My doors wide open
To welcome him

All of a sudden
He would get up and leave
Leaving my heart exposed
No return address,
No way to contact him
To reclaim the keys
To my damaged heart

Pain and agony
Consume my being
I知 drowning in
My tears
Feels like
I知 six feet under
Dig a hole
Shove some dirt
And I知 history

Love, I知 tired of
Chasing you down
I知 tired of holding
On to your shadows
I知 tired of reaching
Out when there is
Nothing in sight

I searched for you
In my mother痴 heart
But all I found
Was darkness
Seems that you left
Her heart long time ago
I searched for you
In people that
Looked just like you
Only to have
Another trip on
The road of broken
Hearts and solitude

I just wonder why
You hate me so much
I just want to feel you
Seems to me that
You have love for everybody
But me, am I that cold?
I just gave away
My innocence; God痴 gift
Maybe this time
You won稚 deceive me
Hurry up, my  heart
Is slowing dying

Hey - it was a good idea to personify love in that way and your poem spoke volumes to me about your need for love and the ways in which love has led you on and then let you down, even with your mom it seems. I send you my love without any price to pay on your part. Good luck, my friend.
