Sometimes I forget,
as simple as that.
I turn a corner
and expect to find you there,
call your name
and expect an answer,
reach out in the night
and expect to feel you
do the same.
So very much reminds me
that you are gone
everyday, ever moment
ever hour, every second,
there's an emptiness
a space unoccupied
and yet sometimes
for just an instance
I forget.

a good piece of poetry, it is sad when we miss someone yes, and at times we give ourselves a shock by finding moments where we do forget.

Truly a most exellent penning with so much within

I love the rhythm and flow of the poem
Splendidly done in wonderful colour and taste
And the ending just grabs at the soul
Thanks for sharing your talent.

That is so tragically true. Sorry for your loss. You told just enough to give us an idea of how you are feeling.

A surreal moment! I have done this as well. Picked up the phone to dial a number, then remember that there is no one to answer. Very vivid time of realization! Wonderfully written. Thanks for sharing!!!
