The youth are exposed
To many paths in the life they live
They are exposed
To many different versions of motive
They are exposed to Power
Power, oh sweet power
Fueling in the veins
Of many
The youth must decide
How they will use their resources
They must decide
How they will light their torches
They must decide how to use Power
Power, oh great power
Constantly taking a hold
Of many
Power used to rise above all others!
Power used to rise with all others!
Power used to conquer other's flaws!
Power used to conquer everyone's flaws!
Power blasting away at the youth’s minds!
Power telling them to take away the binds!
Of humanity’s flaws!
The youth will use power
To destroy and conquer
The youth will use power
To fix all of our failures
The youth will use power with choice
Power, oh breathtaking power
Always spilling forth options
Of many
The youth!
Have a very simple choice
The youth!
Have different ways to rejoice
The youth will have power!
Power, oh tempting power
Bringing forth an ethical selection
Of many
Power used to rise above all others!
Power used to rise with all others!
Power used to conquer other's flaws!
Power used to conquer everyone's flaws!
Power blasting away at the youth’s minds!
Power telling them to take away the binds!
Of humanity’s flaws
The power speaks to you
With great power responsibility comes
The power speaks to you
With great power fix your own flaws or everyone’s
The power speaks to you about which flaws you will cure
Power, oh power
Used to fix or destroy flaws
Of many
How should one use power?

I agree. The power rests in our hands! It's actually kind of scary, that feeling. What if we mess up?
Your poem is great though...I'm really glad you've started posting your poetry!
Oh, and at sentientyouth right now...there's like a billion posts!
