Icicles form within your marrow
Pulse quickens in fingertips
Strange anathema
Lingers around the peripheral
Of your vision
Firefly wings flutter on pale skin
Hairs rise up from flesh
Intrepidation lassoes you
At every echoic footstep
You yearn for someone
To shoo away darkness
And usher in light
See within
The lines of your palm
Light shines through creases
Tracing paths
Tis the silver chord
Binding your race
Raise up your hand
For it is a wand
Of magical power
Wave away uncertainty
In a flash of knowing

This fits the prompt so well. I really admire the language and your ability with free verse. I am no good at this stuff, but I do have a go and I love to read it when it's written well. Good luck with this fine piece
