Attention-Seeker

Feel the sting as it
enters in, the blood can
flow like water.
Thinned blood.
Is that bad? Drop a line,
ask away. Attention-seeker.

Reply? Asking why?
Only choice is to
lie, can't admit.
Hint away. Make them stay
interested.

Blood like water;
it's as thin as.
No connections,
no ties, just
binding. The pain is
blinding but the ugly marks are worth
the momentary pain.
Then hide away so only the
right people see.

The pain in your life is
ever-going, so the blood must be
ever-flowing
down your wrists,
down your arms,
not too deep;
too much harm.
Just a scratch,
just the blood,
just to be noticed;
Attention-seeker.

Do you want them to cry for you?
Die inside for you?
Do you need their notice so much?

Shut your eyes as you feel the sting,
let the air in,
let it bleed down your wrist.
It looks so pretty, why does the pain have to be
this much? There must be an easier way,
this today, think on it tomorrow.
Now, cry out sorrow.
Pain seers, smile through tears,
now he'll notice you.

    Wow, this poem is hard for me to follow in place because it seemed like you didn't finish your thought fully. Like in line 13 you wrote, "it's as thin as." Do you mean, "it's as thin as it."? (Talking about the water and blood.) The flow to me is sorta off with all the line breaks in the middle of the sentences. Though, over all, this poem is well penned. I do think my favorite part of this is, "No connections,/ no ties, just/ binding. The pain is/ Blinding but the ugly marks are worth/ the momentary pain." My least favorite part of this is, "Pain seers, smile through tears,/ now he'll notice you."
