Remembering all those years ago
the way you picked me that very first rose,
and then in other years gone by,
the way you took me to see fireworks in the sky.
The way you always gave me the simple things,
held my hands, shared my dreams,
and in truth that's all I'll ever need
because
From time the souvenirs are deeds.

I like this (but of course, I haven't yet met a poem of yours I haven't liked . Brevity, I think, adds strength to this piece, kind of gives it more of an impact when you get to the end.

I like this little poem. It's a pity the last line doesn't quite rhyme, but never mind. The original peom is very, very different from yours, but I hope you'll read it just the same. Thanks for entering.
