When wishes fade away
Alongside the winded dandelions
And the popped iridescent bubbles,
I will hope
That my last
Penned design
Goes unnoticed by my ever lasting soul.
The notions, behind my intentions;
Will they have served as relicts,
Or mementos into a space and time
Which I helped to consume?
To be impassioned by the fullfilment of my own destiny.
To have lived bountifully from all things lived and experienced.
The fullfilment which I only hope to devour;
As one's first and last meal,
As one's first and last love,
And
As one's first and last word.
Author notes
prompt:
1. "The last poem" [O último poema]
by Manuel Bandeira
So I wish my last poem.
To be tender saying the most simple things and less intentional
To be ardent as a sigh without tears
To have the beauty of the flowers almost without fragrance
The purity of the flame where limpid diamonds are consumed
The passion of the suicides who end their lives without reason

Wow, this is beautiful. I really love the way you write. I can't quite find the right words to discribe how wonderful and amazing your writing really is. Just that it is touching and moving and full of beauty.
